Jeanne Marie Tripplehorn is an American film television and theatre actress. From the age 27, she has worked as an active professional thespian. She started her professional career in 1990 in an off Broadway show called The Big Funk, by John Patrick Shanley. Her next role was her first TV role, The Perfect Tribute. In 1992, she played as a support character in the film Basic Instinct Her career began to take off. It was in The Firm however that she got the role of leading female character for the first time, and this was also against actors like Tom Cruise and Gene Hackman. The 90s saw her working alongside some of the top actors in Hollywood, including Gwyneth Paltrow as well as Hugh Grant. Recenty, she played Dr Alex Blake (a police procedural-crime drama) in Criminal Minds.
