Antonina Shevchenko
Antonina Shchenko is an Kyrgyzstani Muay Thay champion. She is currently a fighter within the UFC Flyweight division. She is the younger sister of former UFC Flyweight champion as well as fellow UFC fighter Valentina. Antonina Shevchenko's combat sport career started with her debut as a Muay Thai fighter. Shevchenko debuted on the IFMA World Championship Tournament in 2003. Shevchenko took the title after which she defeated Suzane Mller with a majority vote. Antonina was able to continue her professional career after getting bronze and silver medal in 2008 and 2007 respectively, a Gold medal in 2011, and the 2016 IFMA amateur world champion. Antonia was a professional who started her professional career in 2003, won in 2012 and 2016, the International Lion Fight Lightweight championships. The WMC World Championships were held in 2016 and she was crowned the 2016 IFMA Muay Thai World Champion. Antonina has fought her last time against Isa Tsidblad Keskikangas in the Phoenix Fighting Championship. The fight was won by unanimous decision. Antonina Shevchenko made her first professional MMA record in 2002 during KFK's Cup in Kyrgystan in a fight with Anara Bayanova. She won by TKO during the 2nd round. She then won her 2 subsequent fights, both at WXF X-Impact World Championships of 2003. It gave her an MMA record of 3-0. Shevchenko took a break from MMA in order to concentrate on her kickboxing and made her comeback with Anissa Haddaoui during Phoenix FC 3 in 2017. Shevchenko was victorious against Anissa Haddaoui in a unanimous decision. She later defeated Valerie Domergue, at Phoenix FC 4, in the same decision. She was a part of the Dana White Contender Series 2018 following her departure from the competition. Shevchenko took on Jaimelene Nievera on Dana White Tuesday Night Contender Series 11. Antonina showed off her striking prowess by TKOing Nievera using knees. In the aftermath of this fight, Antonina received a UFC deal. Antonina received an UFC contract following her victory. Shevchenko was victorious in the unanimous decision, but was defeated in her next fight by Roxanne Modafferi via a split decision. Antonina bounced back from losing to beat Lucie Pudilova by choking her back in a rear-naked submission during the second round of UFC on ESPN Covington Vs. Lawler. She earned the bonus fight of the night for this fight. Shevchenko went 1-2 in her next 3-fights beating Ariane Lipski and losing to Katlyn Chookagian and Andrea Lee. Antonina lost to Casey O'Neill by second-round TKO in the second round of UFC Fight Night Santos Walker.
